Rosé Wines from Around the WorldInstructor: Anton Maletic

The latest vintage of fresh, crisp, and refreshing rosés have just been released. Harvested in 2023 and bottled only a couple of months ago, these delicious beauties promise wine drinking enjoyment to compliment spring and warm weather quaffing. Rosés have been called “the white wine for red wine lovers”. This is because rosé is made from red grapes vinified like white wine. You get structure and body like a red wine but with the lighter, less tannic profile of a white wine. Pair it with salads, grilled fish and other warm-weather dishes and rosé will compliment your menu exquisitely. Even if you’re planning on ribs or a juicy T-bone while standing over the barbecue on a warm afternoon, before opening that Bordeaux or Zin you plan to serve with the grilled meat, sipping a chilled rosé will fit the bill beautifully. 

Join us for a delicious, fun and informative evening of Rosé from around the world; both sparkling and still, paired with a spring time menu created by Chef Alejandro. Six Rosés and Four Course Tasting Menu. $100 per person plus gratuity.

Enjoy this menu created by Chef Chris Thielman & Karen Thielman! This talented duo has shared their passion for French cuisine, wine, culture and language for the past twenty-five years. Chris and Karen created and led Culinary and Wine Tours in France for nineteen years through the College of DuPage Field Studies Department, guiding groups to Lyon, the Roannais, Beaujolais and Burgundy for French cooking and wine classes, vineyard tours, pâtisserie visits and market excursions. (Full bio here). This innovative menu includes: Fougasse with herbs and garlic; Black olive tapenade; Provençal vegetable tian; and Grilled gambas with aioli.
