"I’ll take others there for sure."
"The mushroom bisque soup was outstanding—will go back for that again. Same for the apple dessert crepes—just the right balance of sweet and tart. We went for lunch—quiet room, attentive service. Waiter had good recommendations. A very pleasant experience. I’ll take others there for sure."

"I have missed French home cooking and this fills the bill perfectly."
"So nice to find this right in our neighborhood. AND they have a bakery—which I will try to utilize weekly. Need some baguettes and croissants. I have missed French home cooking and this fills the bill perfectly. There was a piano and singer the night we went and they were excellent. It's always such a pleasure to listen to musicians who know what they're doing! We will go again."

"Everything was delicious!"
"We came for brunch on Saturday. We ordered the benedict and omelet-each came with a salad with fruit, balsamic and mini croissant! Everything was delicious, and we finished off with the Crepe Suzette-so yummy! We will definitely return…"

"A lovely, unrushed lunch."
"My friend and I meet here to catch up and we both love the Beef Bourguignon crepes with a glass of Cote de Rhone followed by bananas Foster for dessert. A lovely, unrushed lunch. Service was great even though our server did triple duty as hostess and cashier in the bakery. Don't know how she does it, but she did not miss a beat."

"Best Christmas Tea"
"Best Christmas Tea around — we go every year and it just keeps getting better. Food is delicious and the Christmas china is gorgeous. My favorites are the pumpkin cider bisque, the cucumber finger sandwiches and the scones with clotted cream and lemon curd. But really, it is all yummy. There are three courses — bisque with tea sandwiches, scones and then a dessert buffet. I had the lavender tea today and it was delicious. There is also a pianist which adds to the already charming atmosphere."

"I was happy as a clam"
"I was so pleased with my experience here. I went into the restaurant in an absolutely terrible mood from my terrible day, and by the end of my time here I was happy as a clam and couldn't stop talking about how great my time was there with my date after we left!"

"I definitely will be back...!"
"If you want to feel like a classy gal and have a unique dining experience, I would recommend Suzette's! This is such a cute restaurant with plenty of friendly faces that made me feel like I was in Europe instead of Illinois.
We did their traditional English tea 3 course meal for lunch. They also offer a French tea option. You can choose from about 8 or so tea options and they'll bring you your own pot. I had the Suzette's spice tea which was fantastic! It had cinnamon, cardamom and orange in it. Each tea cup had a cute silver filtration piece that you poured the tea over to strain it. It felt so elegant to pour and drink!
For the first course, we were presented with a plate of finger sandwiches- 5 in total. The nice part is, the waitress has an additional tray full of the sandwiches so you are welcomed to order more of your favorites. there was an egg salad (with hard boiled eggs), a shaved salmon, a chicken salad topped with an mandarin orange, cucumber and relish, and brie with pesto on pretzel bread. I'd say my favorite was the chicken salad (I'm SO sorry if I'm getting the names of all these wrong!), and the brie/pesto, so I had seconds of those, but there was nothing I wouldn't eat again!
Second course was two mini scones with a side of a lemon curd and Devonshire cream. The scones were heavenly! So warm, crispy, and the perfect amount of sweetness. I really enjoyed the lemon curd. The Devonshire cream had a light flavor that I couldn't really taste on the scone, so I stuck with the lemon for the majority of the scones.
For the final course, you chose a dessert from their menu or could peruse the bakery for one item. We all ordered from the menu- I chose the banana nutella crepe which was a nice size and had ample banana on it and a medium layer of nutella. I licked it up!
I definitely will be back... in telling people about my experience, I have more people who want to go! I'd also love to check out their regular menu and see what that's all about!"
